In 2023, Tong Hsing launched the < Tong Hsing Cooperation, Illuminate the Local> LED charitable donation project! This initiative partners with Ji Long Engineering and volunteer engineers from the facility department to reach out to rural schools in New Taipei, Taoyuan, and Hsinchu. We aim to replace old lighting with eye-friendly and energy-efficient LED fixtures, protecting the vision of every student and teacher.
In our country, there are over 13 million people with myopia, with elementary and junior high school students being at the peak of this issue. This project not only aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4.3—ensuring equitable, affordable, and high-quality education—but also actively addresses the resource gap between urban and rural areas, allowing every child to learn in a better environment.
Through this initiative, we enhance the lighting conditions in classrooms and alleviate the economic pressure caused by rising electricity costs. Additionally, we contribute to reducing carbon emissions and support green energy policies. Let’s work together to illuminate the future of our children and strive for a brighter tomorrow!
